Hey Wellness Wednesday Peeps,

????‍♀️ Welcome & February’s theme is all about self-care and this week, we’re focusing on Physical Self-Care!

Happy Wellness Wednesday! Today, we’re talking about the importance of mindfulness in our self-care routine.

Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present and engaged in the current moment. It’s easy to get caught up in our busy lives and forget to take a step back to appreciate the present moment. However, by practicing mindfulness, we can avoid hedonic adaptation, which is the phenomenon of getting used to positive things in our lives and not being as happy about them over time.

By staying present and engaged, we can keep moving forward and create the correct baseline for happiness and joy in our lives. Mindfulness helps us focus on what really matters and allows us to let go of distractions and worries.

Here’s a quote to inspire your mindfulness practice: “The present moment is the only moment available to us, and it is the door to all moments.” – Thich Nhat Hanh

An affirmation to repeat to yourself during mindfulness practice: “I am fully present in this moment, and I release all worries and distractions to God.”

A scripture to reflect on: “Be still and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10

Wellness challenge: Take 10 minutes today to practice mindfulness. Find a quiet space, close your eyes, and focus on your breath. Let any thoughts or distractions come and go without judgment. Repeat your affirmation or reflect on your chosen scripture. ????‍♀️????????‍♂️

Remember, self-care is an essential part of overall wellness, and mindfulness is a powerful tool to add to your routine. Take time for yourself, stay present, and enjoy the beauty of each moment.

Go out there and be the ????  and the ???? everywhere you go.

BLESSINGS,
