This meditation exercise is an excellent introduction to meditation techniques.

  • You can put on some inspirational music, ocean waves etc
  • Light a candle or use a diffuser if you would like.
  • Sit or lie comfortably. You may even want a blanket.
  • Close your eyes. Make it fun –  use a cooling eye masks or facial mask.  Not necessary, only for fun.
  • Make no effort to control your breath; simply breathe naturally.
  • Focus your attention on a song, a Scripture, an affirmation. Or on your breath and on how your body moves with each inhalation and exhalation.
    •  Simply focus your attention on your breath without controlling its pace or intensity. If your mind wanders, return your focus back to your breath.

Maintain this meditation practice for two to three minutes to start, and then try it for longer periods.

I also add a gratitude time to my meditation.   During this time I thank God for everything and everyone I can think of.

⚘⚘Remember in order to own your day, you have to start by owning your morning.?

Just a few minutes of meditative reflection will carry you through your entire day.
