May’s Wellness Wednesday focus will be dedicated to peaceful meditation 🕊
Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years, but psychologists and neuroscientists have studied it for only a few decades. The Bible mentions meditate or meditation 23 times, 19 times in the Book of Psalms alone.

The relaxation response [from meditation] helps decrease metabolism, lowers blood pressure, and improves heart rate, breathing, and brain waves. Tension and tightness seep from muscles as the body receives a quiet message to relax.
Mini Meditation – Take 6
Mindfully inhale deeply and as you do think ‘I am inhaling peace or calmness etc’. Exhale slowly and through your mouth as if blowing through a straw. As you do this, think ‘ I am exhaling stress or anxiety etc.’ Do this how many times? You guessed it, 6.
